FAQ's

Why soy wax?

Soy wax is 100% natural as it comes from soybean oil! Using good quality fragrance oils paired with a cotton wick means no toxins and is a vegan friendly wax. If you have children or pets or worried about what you breath in, you can rest assured you're safe when burning soy. It will also hold the fragrance in better so you can keep smelling those beautiful candles without lighting them plus soy wax provides a longer burn time by 25-50%. Soy wax is biodegradable and easy to clean with hot soapy water. If it spills it won't stain and you'll be able to get it off.

Do we use soy wax in our re-fills?

YES! We definitely do. We use the exact same 100% natural soy wax in our re-fills as we do when you purchase a container candle from us. This means when you receive your re-fill it is extremely soft and only designed to be burned in it's specific matching jar. Our re-fills are not to be used as pillar candles.

How long should I burn my candle for?

It is highly recommended when lighting your brand new candle, burn for at least 2-4 hours or until the top layer is liquid wax. This creates a candle memory and ensures your candle doesn't tunnel for the rest of it's life.

Why is there black bits floating in my candle?

Black bits in your candles means it has mushroomed and fallen off from the wick. We always strongly recommend trimming your wick before each burn, not just for this reason but also to extend the hours of burn time for your candle.

Why is there black soot around the inside of the jar?

Again, this is from not trimming the wick before every burn. This simple task does so much for your candle which is why we always talk about it.

How do I remove the black soot from the jar?

Ensure the candle is out and completely cool. Use a damp cloth and wipe the inside of the jar to remove the black

Can I re-use my candle jar?

Of course you can! In fact we strongly encourage it, whether that be by buying a RE-FILL for your jar through us Click here to shop refills OR up-cycle them in other ways around the home. Click here to see our blog on suggestions of up-cycling jars.

Do you wholesale candles so I can become a stockist?

We sure do, head to our wholesale sign up page and create an account. We will then contact you for approval and you can either purchase online through your wholesale account or directly through us and we can invoice you.

When will I receive my order?

All candles are lovingly hand poured to order. We allow 2-4 business days for candles to be made and shipped out to you. This doesn't include shipping and can vary on your location.
